The CMIT-built Wuhan Green Conversion of Carbon Dioxide and Bio-Manufacturing Process Validation Center is positioned to serve the main battlefield of the national economy and major strategic needs. It employs CO₂-electrocatalysis-based low-carbon compound carbon sources, aiming to reduce carbon emissions, lessen reliance on food-sourced carbon sources, and ensure national food security. In the field of gene editing, it adopts a growth-coupled strategy, which significantly enhances cell conversion efficiency and yield, and has successfully established a range of product lines covering agricultural bacterial agents, fragrances and flavors, big health products, and isoprene bulk chemicals.
